Although not full of roids, people go to World who are serious about their workout. Surprisingly, it has more space, more classes, more amenities and more to look at than any other gym in town. $10 P.S. Depending on the time of day, this listing could be placed under "baths" with a wink and a nod.

Once a warehouse in Portland's gritty Bayside neighborhood, World gym is now Portland's largest single level, single room, exercise and workout facility. A 2009 update refreshed the sprawling interior and added much needed equipment and clients. The single room and endless mirrors creates an environment perfect for people watching and cruising. Sunday night is your best bet in the steam room if exercise is not the only required element of your workout.
