The Danforth Inn

(1 Rating)
The place for a grand wedding
Now that gay marriage is (almost) legal in Maine, this Inn should be on your short list if Portland is the place for your nuptials. And, it has cred: The Danforth stands on a block once known as Social Corners. A descendant of The Elias Thomas Family (owners of the mansion for more than 100 years), Aunt Charlotte Thomas was noted for social gatherings. They say the likes of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, wayward artists, ambassadors, bankers, and governors all gathered within these walls.
